AIRKEYS core technology is a cryptographic protocol named IWLA that was designed and patented by inWebo. IWLA implements a secure method for resources such as vehicles and locks to make local authorization decisions based on non-spoofable permissions, user authentication, and smartphone authentication. IWLA works on any local communication technology such as BLE or ultrasound, and doesn't assume a secure channel. AIRKEYS is a security framework (API and SDK) that service providers, app developers, or lock manufacturers can easily add to their components to enable seamless phone-based access.
